Co-mingled Plastic Waste

Our unique and patented process transforms waste in to co-mingled feedstock without needing to be sorted, cleaned, or melted for extrusion. With the ability to bypass these time consuming steps, co-mingled plastic can be used to produce products cost effectively.

Using a patented cold extrusion process that unlike other plastic recycling techniques does not require re-blending of near virgin resins to a specific ratio allows us to make products more cost effectively. Our process includes a very efficient closed loop recycling system for plastic manufacturing operations. Not only can all seven categories of plastic waste be utilized, the process can also use plastic that is contaminated with metal, glass, fiber, or film.

The patented process utilizes landfill bound; mixed consumer and post-industrial plastic, as well as other dry waste such as tire rubber. All substances are combined and directly converted into environmentally friendly products.

Other plastic recycling technologies require labor intensive sorting, cleaning, and heating for the feedstock materials, elevating costs and requiring extensive labor expense.

Co-mingled plastic can be formed to create a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Color can be added to achieve the desired aesthetic.

This product can also be compressed to a varying degree of density to satisfy a specific use.

It does so with a combination of proprietary preprocessing and injection molding technology that allows it to economically convert dirty feedstock into high quality products. Unlike conventional molders, SelecTech’s know-how and novel technologies can turn previously valueless feedstock into valuable products at competitive prices.

Every time a feedstock has to be handled there are associated costs. SelecTech cleans and preprocesses feedstock only to the extent required for a given application. Since SelecTech’s injection molding technology can tolerate dirty feedstock, relatively less cleaning and preprocessing is required than for conventional equipment. To the extent more cleaning is required for a given product, patented state-of-the-art granulating equipment efficiently and economically cleans feedstock to the degree required.
